| Cleaning after installation
|
| |
Once installation work is complete, it is necessary to carry out thorough cleaning, completely removing any remnants of bonding and grouting material with a damp sponge, cleaning them immediately without allowing them to dry. brush the surface and remove any remnants of building materials.
it is very important to check that the joints have hardened. if the joints have hardened and there is a white halo around the tile (bonding or grouting material), remove as follows:
pour vinegar into a bucket containing water. on one of the stained areas, scrub using a stiff brush, then rinse with plenty of water to remove the dissolved remnants of mortar.
for remnants that cannot be removed in this way, use a diluted acid for cement-based mortars, or a stripping solution for epoxy compounds.
in both cases, carefully read the instructions for use.
to complete the cleaning process, add an undiluted grease remover.
scrub with a stiff brush, then rinse with clean water and dry. |

Clean with warm water and alkaline detergent. do not use detergents that leave a surface layer of wax or grease.

Dry the cleaned surface immediately. change the water after mopping every 15 m2. do not re-use water from previous cleaning procedures.

Cleaning machinery with cylindrical or rotating brushes is recommended, and/or high pressure cleaning equipment.
